The scoop: A talented player who can do a little of everything. This season, she averaged 19.5 points, 9.5 rebounds, 3.7 steals, 2.6 blocks and 2.4 assists while leading Vincentian to a third consecutive WPIAL Class A title and also a PIAA championship. An intense, emotional player, Wise shot 47.7 percent from the field and 36 percent from 3-point range. Has 1,685 career points.

College talk: Wise has about a dozen offers from Division I colleges. Pitt, Duquesne, Villanova, Dayton and Virginia Tech are among the schools that have offered scholarships.

Most memorable moment this season? Winning the state championship without a doubt.

Favorite school subject? Economics.

Food you can't do without? Carbs and grilled chicken.

Other than a parent, someone who has had a big influence on you? [Legendary former Blackhawk boys coach] John Miller. I play AAU for him. and he's like a father figure to me and I wouldn't be where I am if it wasn't for him.

You'd like to be who for a day? LeBron James. That has to be the life.

People might be surprised to know ... I sleep with a basketball.

SYDNEY BORDONARO / Burrell

Height: 5-7

Position: Guard

Year: Junior

The scoop: Burrell had the best season in school history, going 28-2 and making it to a WPIAL title game for the first time and also the PIAA semifinals. Bordonaro was a primary reason for the Bucs' success. She averaged 16.5 points, 6.5 assists and 4.5 steals a game. She is an excellent shooter and made 67 3-pointers this season and shot 46.8 percent behind the arc. She has 1,209 career points.

College talk: Bordonaro made a verbal commitment to Pepperdine in October. A few other Division I schools had offered scholarships and others were interested.

Most memorable moment this season? There were a lot, but I'd have to say winning our state quarterfinal game and getting the chance to play Seton-LaSalle again.

Favorite school subject? Other than gym, maybe social studies.

Food you can't do without? Cheeseburgers.

You can't be an athlete in the future, you would be ... Sports broadcaster on ESPN.

Other than a parent, someone who has had a big influence on you?: [Former Jeannette basketball star] Ciara Gregory. She just has helped me with a lot of things.

You'd like to be who for a day? Skylar Diggins (WNBA player and former All-American at Notre Dame).

People might be surprised to know ... I like to play golf.

CHASSIDY OMOGROSSO / Blackhawk

Height: 5-5

Position: Guard

Year: Junior

The scoop: A talented point guard for the WPIAL and PIAA Class AAA champions. She averaged 21.7 points a game and made 72 3-pointers. She shot 45 percent from the field, 38 percent from 3-point range and 86 percent from the free-throw line. She also averaged 3.0 rebounds, 2.6 assists, 2.3 steals and had only 37 turnovers. She has scored 1,848 career points and figures to surpass 2,000 next season. She is a two-time Fabulous 5 selection.

College talk: Omogrosso has already accepted a scholarship to Duquesne. She originally made a verbal commitment to Pitt during her sophomore season, but changed her mind last summer.

Most memorable moment this season? Winning the WPIAL and state.

Favorite school subject? Math.

Food you can't do without? Pizza.

You can't be an athlete in the future, you would be ... A doctor or a dentist.

Other than a parent, someone who has had a big influence on you? My brothers, Anthony and Aaron. They were always tough on me when I was younger and they made me competitive.

You'd like to be who for a day? Skylar Diggins.

People might be surprised to know ... I like to sleep a lot.

YACINE DIOP / Seton-LaSalle

Height: 5-10

Position: Guard-forward

Year: Senior

The scoop: A powerful, overwhelming and talented force on both ends of the floor, no player was more instrumental in helping lead the Rebels to WPIAL and PIAA Class AA championships this season. Originally from Senegal, Diop came to Seton-LaSalle from Oak Hill Academy in Virginia and her one season playing for the Rebels was an impactful one. She averaged 13.7 points and 7.7 rebounds per game and in the PIAA championship, Diop had 10 points, 23 rebounds and 6 blocks.

College talk: Ranked as the No. 84 prospect nationally in the 2014 class by ESPN HoopGurlz, Diop signed last fall with Pitt, where she will play next season.

Most memorable moment this season? It was winning the WPIAL and state championships.

Favorite school subject? I really don't have one. I do like languages, though.

Food you can't do without? Rice.

If you can't be an athlete in the future, you would be ... I want to be a businesswoman.

Other than a parent, someone who has had a big influence on you? I'll probably say my guardians.

You'd like to be who for a day? I would like to be Kobe [Bryant].

People might be surprised to know ... I like to dance alone in my room.

ERIN MATHIAS / Fox Chapel

Height: 6-3

Position: Forward

Year: Senior

The scoop: Few, if any, players in the WPIAL presented as formidable of a challenge on the low post as Mathias. This season, she averaged 16.4 points and 12.7 rebounds per game. Nearly half her rebounds (145 out of 329) this season came on the offensive end. She was selected Gatorade Pennsylvania Player of the Year and is a repeat member of the Faulous 5. For her career with the Foxes, Mathias had 1,086 points, 879 rebounds and 282 blocks.

College talk: Mathias committed to Duke in March 2011 and signed with the Blue Devils in November. She's ranked No. 38 in the 2014 class by ESPN HoopGurlz.

Most memorable moment this season? I'd have to say winning the section championship outright -- that was pretty exciting for us.

Favorite school subject? Math.

Food you can't do without? Ice cream.

If you can't be an athlete in the future, you would be ... A mechanical engineer.

Other than a parent, someone who has had a big influence on you? My brother. I've always looked up to him. I'd definitely say him.

You'd like to be who for a day? I'd probably say Taylor Swift. She's just one of my favorite people and I'd like to live in her world for a day.
