Brenna Wise (Co-Player of the Year)

Vincentian, 6-1, Guard/forward, Senior

The scoop: As far as team and individual accomplishments, Wise had one of the best careers in WPIAL history. Won four WPIAL Class A titles and two PIAA championships. Team was 114-8 during her four seasons as a starter. Extremely versatile player who this season averaged 20.8 points, 7.2 rebounds, shot 67 percent from field, 74 percent from free-throw line and made 25 3-pointers. Finished with 2,331 points and 1,080 rebounds. Two-time player of the year.

College talk: Has signed with Pitt.

Most memorable moment this season: That feeling in the locker room after winning a second state championship, and knowing there was no better way to end your career with these girls and coaches.

Favorite basketball player of all time: Kevin Durant. No, let's go with The King — LeBron James.

Favorite cereal: Reese's Puffs.

Favorite school subject: English.

Best sports movie: Miracle On Ice.

Something that bothers you about sports: Don't judge a book by its cover. You can't judge a player by just one game or seeing them warm up.

In 10 years, you see yourself: Involved with basketball. Coaching.

You wish you had more time for: Another round of high school basketball.

Chassidy Omogrosso (Co-Player of the Year)

Blackhawk, 5-5, Guard, Senior

The scoop: Talented point guard who had big personal and team accomplishments. Led Cougars to two consecutive WPIAL and PIAA Class AAA titles. Finished career as the sixth-leading scorer in WPIAL history with 2,686 points. Also had 297 career 3-pointers. This season, was the WPIAL's leading scorer and averaged 27 points. An extremely quick point guard, Omogrosso also averaged 3.5 rebounds, 3.2 steals and 2.8 assists. Shot 45 percent from the field and 88 percent from the free-throw line. A four-year starter and team was 107-12 in her four years. Three-time Fabulous Five selection.

College talk: Has signed with Duquesne.

Most memorable moment this season: Winning the WPIAL and state again.

Favorite basketball player of all time: Russell Westbrook.

Favorite cereal: This is a tough one because I love cereal. I'd say Cocoa Pebbles.

Favorite school subject: Math.

Best sports movie: Remember The Titans.

Something that bothers you about sports: Losing.

In 10 years, you see yourself: If not playing basketball, then with a job and maybe a family.

You wish you had more time for: Playing more high school games.

Sydney Bordonaro

Burrell, 5-7, Guard, Senior

The scoop: With Bordonaro leading the way, Burrell got to the semifinals twice and the title game once the past three seasons. Bordonaro averaged 20.9 points a game this season and made 63 3-pointers. She averaged 4.6 assists, 2.7 steals and 3.8 rebounds. Shot 50 percent from field, 36 percent from 3-point range and 82 percent from the free-throw line. She finished her career with 1,754 points.

College talk: Has signed with Pepperdine University in Malibu, Calif.

Most memorable moment this season: Probably winning a first-round game in the state playoffs.

Favorite basketball player of all time: I had a crazy obsession with Allen Iverson, but now Russell Westbrook.

Favorite cereal: Reese's Puffs.

Favorite school subject: Psychology.

How often do you get asked how you ended up picking Pepperdine? Too much [laugh]. Honestly, every game I would get asked. I've probably answered that more than 100 times.

Something that bothers you about sports: When people are lazy.

In 10 years, you see yourself: I want to be a sports broadcaster, talk on ESPN, or do something like Erin Andrews.

You wish you had more time for: I really like to sleep.

Conor Richardson

Carlynton, 5-10, Guard, Senior

The scoop: Richardson missed her entire sophomore season with a knee injury, but bounced back to become one of the top players in the WPIAL the past two seasons. She averaged 19.6 points a game for a WPIAL Class AA semifinalist. She also averaged 6.8 rebounds, 5.6 steals and 4.4 assists, and finished her career with 1,166 points.

College talk: Richardson has signed with Duquesne. She is one of two Duquesne recruits on the Fabulous Five.

Most memorable moment this season: When we beat OLSH in the WPIAL playoffs.

Favorite basketball player of all time: Russell Westbrook and Diana Taurasi.

Favorite cereal: Honey Bunches Of Oats. It's an old people's cereal, but it's so good.

Favorite school subject: Stats.

Best sports movie: Love And Basketball.

Something that bothers you about sports: I could be here all day. I'll start with when players wear [arm and leg] sleeves and they stink. I hate when people wear their socks too low. And then officials, because they ruined too many games for me.

In 10 years, you see yourself: Playing overseas somewhere, learning a new language and having a great time.

You wish you had more time for: Sleep.

Alayna Gribble

Norwin, 6-0, Guard/forward, Junior

The scoop: Norwin won a WPIAL Class AAAA championship for the first time in school history this season, and also made it to the PIAA semifinals. Gribble was a driving force in the Knights' success. She did a little bit of everything, averaging 18.6 points a game and scoring 20 or more in five of eight postseason games. She also was good for 6.5 rebounds, 2 assists and 2 steals a game. She shot 44 percent from the field and made 36 3-pointers for the season. Has 1,251 career points.

College talk: Gribble already has made a verbal commitment to William & Mary.

Most memorable moment this season: Definitely winning our first WPIAL championship.

Favorite basketball player of all time: Candace Parker.

Favorite cereal: Coffee cereal.

Favorite school subject: Math.

Best sports movie: Love And Basketball.

Something that bothers you about sports: I'd probably say other players' parents yelling at you for making a mistake.

In 10 years, you see yourself: Having a successful job, settling down and maybe starting a family.

You wish you had more time for: Hanging out with friends and just doing some things normal teenagers do because basketball takes up a lot of time.
