The PIAA has held a team tournament since 1999. Only four WPIAL teams have won titles. Canon-McMillan (2012, 2013) and Franklin Regional (2014, 2015) have each won twice in Class 3A. Connellsville (2005) is the only other Class 3A winner. Burrell (2008) is the only Class 2A winner. The 2019 PIAA Championships began on Monday with pigtail matches. The rest of the tournament is being held this weekend at Giant Center in Hershey. Burrell is making its 16th consecutive appearance. The Buccaneers have a 28-23 record in its previous 15 appearances. Canon-McMillan is making its ninth appearance in the Class 3A Tournament. The Big Macs have a 21-12 record going into this year. Kiski Area is making its eight appearance.
