The WPIAL Team Tournament semifinals, championship, and consolation matches will be held Saturday, Feb. 2. The Class 3A semifinal matches will be held at Norwin High School, beginning at 4 p.m. * Two-time defending champion and No. 1 seed Kiski Area (13-0) is in the semifinals for the fourth consecutive year. * No. 4 seed Canon-McMillan (9-2) advanced to the semifinals for the 11th time in 12 years and 27th overall. * No. 2 seed Seneca Valley (12-2) is making a return trip to the semifinals after finishing third last year. * No. 6 seed Waynesburg (10-1) earned its 13th semifinal berth after finishing fourth last year. The Class 2A matches will be held at Chartiers-Houston High School, beginning at noon. * Twelve-time defending champion and No. 1 seed Burrell (8-2) earned its 18th consecutive semifinal berth and 22st overall. * No. 4 seed Beth-Center (10-4) earned its third semifinal berth and first since 1984. * No. 3 Quaker Valley (14-5) earned its first semifinal berth in only its third year of WPIAL competition. * No. 7 Freedom (8-2) earned its fourth consecutive semifinal berth and eighth overall.
