Boys & Girls Soccer - Schools with the most WPIAL titles

Sixteen soccer teams will battle for eight WPIAL titles this week as the boys and girls championships will be held at Highmark Stadium. Nine of the 16 teams have won at least one previous title.

Boys Class 4A - Seneca Valley and Norwin have each made a previous appearance in the finals, but neither has won a title.

Boys Class 3A - West Allegheny is making its fourth title appearance and claimed a title in 2013. Franklin Regional is making its first appearance in the finals.

Boys Class 2A - Shady Side Academy, the defending champion, is in the finals for the sixth time. Quaker Valley ranks sixth in WPIAL history with eight titles.

Boys Class 1A - Greensburg C.C. has won three titles, the last coming in 2009. Avonworth is making its second title appearance and still looking for its first title.

Girls Class 4A - Seneca Valley has won four previous titles with the most recent coming in 2014. Peters Township has won twice.

Girls Class 3A - Mars has won five previous titles. Oakland Catholic is making its first appearance in the finals.

Girls Class 2A - South Park is making its ninth title appearance and have won four titles. Hopewell is making its second title appearance and still looking for its first title.

Girls Class 1A - Freedom is making its third consecutive appearance in the finals, fourth overall, and won a title in 2016. Bentworth is making its first title appearance.
